we are getting undeliverable when sending to some domain and they said that it is because we have .LOCAL at the end of our smtp. What will be the consequences if i change it to .COM? can i bring it back again to .LOCAL if it does not work?

You mean your email address is user@domain.local or do you mean you're advertising HELO as server1.domain.local? 1. If your email address is user@domain.local you need to change it to your public smtp domain. user@company.com. Just add a new the domain in the recipient policy and make sure you have an mx record for this domain. 2. If it's the helo lookup then change the FQDN in the smtp virtual server properties.
