Yes, this node server shall be listed as designed behavior; its also same in my testing environment Explanation: After completed Passive Node cluster installation, the machine account is assigned Full Control permissions to the CMS object in the Configuration container of AD, also caused CMS object to appear in EMC as an Exchange Server Administrator with a scope to the CMS object [Exchange in your case], any CCR/SCC cluster installation on passive node will exhibit this behavior Notes: This symptom only happens on Passive Node server, not on CAS / HT / MBX server role Notes: It will also cause you to receive the warning below when running command "Get-ExchangeAdministrator". This warning can be simply ignored since Passive Node doesnt need these permissions, but you want to take care of it once for all, just add the Node to Exchange View-Only Administrators group in ADUC WARNING: The server administrator 'contoso.com/Computers/NODE2' is not a member of the Exchange View-Only Administrators.
