cmd to add non default 03 smtp connector to 03 to 07 connector
I am having this issue: (posted else where no responses LOL)HARDWARE:IRON PORT c150Exchange server 03 on 03 serverExchange server 07 on 08 serverBlackBerry Enterprise as well 03 serverI have been in the procces of setting up our move to exchange 07 from 03.. after working out some free busy / public folder issues with my test accounts.. and thinking all was stable.. i decided to move my mailbox.. moved fine.. no issues can send / recieve internal emails , can send receive brom my BB, BUT i find my self suddenly not recieving external emails... I am 99% sure i tested this with my test accounts that where built on the 07 server, moved to the 03 server and moved back to 07... I am really not sure where to start on this one.. i did check the the receive groups and the last tab is all check expcept the bottom one.. not sure where to start looking next as i am a bit confused.. ...I also notice i am not getting my internal "alert emails" , form : system center, backup exec, or my sharepoint emails... to my box.... but i do get internal from users on both boxes...I also added antother received connector and still none... notes:there are 2 SMTP conectors on the 03 box,DefualtIron port The mail coming in seems to be sitting in the ironport smtp connector.. almost like it doesnt know how to resolve my name back to mail box on the 07 server....** i think i figured out what was going on but unsure of the cmdlet to add the "NON DEFAULT" SMTP Connector called OUTBOUND IRON PORT to the INTEROP RGC CONNECTOR.... any one help on this?Under the general tab looking at the 03server of the InterOP RGC connector is the defualt smpt , i need to either add my other smtp connector calledOUTBOUND IRON PORT or change the setting to allow any local server.... Its grey out on the 03 server and i am not sure where on the 07 to change this...

Hi,There is no need to add the Outbound Iron port connector to the routing group connector. You wouldn't be any chance have added the IRONPORT server as a smart-host on the smtp virtuel server on the exchange 2003 server?Leif

i apolgize but i guess i am not following where you want me to check.... I am looking at the smtp virtual servers in the esm.. on the 03 box..I have a default smtp (not smart host)and a ironport smtp(confgured as a smart host)as for connectors.. i have my interop rgc, internet email and another "defualt" for the 07/03 boxs

Hi,Sounds as if you are looking in the right place. You can't have smart-host configured on a SMTP virtuel server in a multi exchange server environment. You must instead create a SMTP connector and configure the smart-host on this connector (and remove thesmart-host config from the virtuel server). This will solve your problem.Leif
