connecting to POP3
i have a friend i'm helping out who has a client. she is using a web host that is also hosting her email. the exchange server seems to be pointed to the POP3 host and the client's Outlook to Exchange. is it possible for Exchange 2003 on SBS to grab email from POP3, dump it into the exchange store and have Outlook grab it from the exchange server? i used to admin an exchange installation, but not with this set up. or am I wrong and OUtlook is just grabbing from the POP3 server on the internet?

It is possible. SBS 2003 in fact, has an Exchange Connector for POP3 Mailboxes. However, its not a great configuration , kludgy and prone to problems. But that is probably what your friend is using.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc747541(WS.10).aspxUnderstanding the Microsoft Connector for POP3 Mailboxes
