Your error message is received by one of your partner's company sender. You want to know whether the issue was arisen by your side, and solve it, is it right? <"sendersdomain.com" #5.7.1 smtp;550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for jdoe@recipients.com >Actually, you can figure out just from error Info. the mail hasn't even got out from sender's domain to your domain yet, the mail has already been rejected. So the issue is belong to your partner's side. this NDR can occur under varying conditions, I listed some basic solution, you can forward it to your partner's tech member to aid the troubleshooting. Of course it's based on their mailsystem also exchange. The following explain the commonly cause and solution:Reason 1: Authenticated computers not allowed to relay error code can occur if the "Allow all computers which successfully authenticate to relay" checkbox is not selected on the SMTP VS Reason 2: Anonymous access to SMTP VS disablederror code can also occur if not selected "Anonymous access" checkbox on the SMTP VSselecte it and restart SMTP VS, also reboot SMTP service and Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine service on the service.msc Reason 3: Incorrect DNS configurationEnsure that MX records point to the correct SMTP VS. If DNS is not configured correctly, incoming SMTP connection attempts might randomly connect to the wrong SMTP VS Reason 4: No matching Recipient Policy for proxy addressesif users have e-mail addresses that were manually entered, but that do not match any of the existing recipient policies. Proxy addresses should match at least one recipient policy Related KB:How to troubleshoot mail relay issues in Exchange Server 2003 and in Exchange 2000 Serverhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/895853/en-us
