create e-mail address for all users
Hello I want to create an e-mail example all@test.com
I am using Exchange server 2003 and I want all users to be the recepients
Should I create a Distribution Group and list all users as members so that they receive e-mails addressed to all@test.com
Is it the best way of doing it ? It is not a good idea to create a user as "all" so that I have a mailbox then give permission to everyone right ?
Thank You

Hi,
AFAIK I also did this with the name of everone@test.com and everybody got the mails so there is no issue in it.

Hello I created a Distribution Group with Domain users as members and with the everyone@domain.com however it is not appearing on the clients address book. I will check again today becuase it might be the case that the Outlook Address Book on the clients
needs to refresh although I do not know how many times it gets updates from the address book on Exchange Server.
What sounds wrong is that when I tried to e-mail a test mail using everyone@domain.com ( typing it manually ) nobody received the e-mail

The address appeared in the address book however I wanted to ask if this causes any problems to the Exchange server since it will have to send an e-mail to all users.
I am referring to performance problems.

Hi,
You need to create a mail-enabled distribution group. And then add all the users to the group.

Hello,
I created a distributed group with e-mail address everyone@domain.com with an ALIAS Name of Everyone. Now it is appearing in the address list on all clients. I have set Domain Users as members of the Distribution Group however when I send a test mail
and select the Everyone ( Distributed Group ) Recipient the message is not delevired to anyone of the domain users. What could be wrong and what can I do to find the cause of the problem ?

Just to be sure, I can choose whatever e-mail address I want as long as I am hosting the mail server and that the e-mail is xxx@domain.com correct ?

Hi,
First please verify if you can send email to normal email address inside the network.
If yes, then please try to send email to
everyone@domain.com and then check the issue.
Note: You can just select the email address for DL(Distribution group) thus email will be delivered to all the members in the DL.
If that is not the issue, then please try to use message tracking to check the mail flow.
