create email address with limited network access
Hello:We have some Board members that would like a company email address. I don't mind giving them email address accept that, that means I would need to create an AD user in order to create the mailbox. These board members are not company employees, just board members. My question is this: Can I create mailboxes for them without allowing them to logon to a domain computer? I am concerned that since they will be able to login to OWA that they theoritically could log onto a computer that is attached to the domain. I want them to be able to login to OWA, but not any physical computer attached to the domain. Thanks for your help.Miller-IT

Hi Miller,
You can create a user account and restrict the account to only log on to CAS server. Please restart IIS after set restriction.

Let me ask you another question:I know I can (and how to) forward the emails to an alternate email address. Since these outside board members would rarely check this email. What I would like to know is if there is a way to "forward" (for lack of a better phrase/term) a noticification email to another account that will let them know (basically), that they have mail to read in my company's email?mail flow is this:someone here sends mail to board of dir. --> it goes to the persons email box, --> then that box sends a "notice" to someother mailbox (not a company email) to basically say "you got mail to read" at <insert company name>?ThanksMiller-it

Hi Miller,
Firstly, I recommend that you create a thread for other problems in order to have more experts help you regarding the issue.
Base on my knowledge, there is no easy method to forward a notification to external recipient. Nevertheless, I think that you can consider following workaround:
1. Create a mailbox rule to have server reply a specific message (Notification)
2. On the Exchange 2007 Hub Server, redirect the notification to external recipient’s email address
