database location
I am having some issues with a spanned set of disk on which my logs and databases are stored. Can I move the location of both the logs and databases to a mapped drive located on another file server? Everything i read only talks about different volumns. i cant find anything that says i can or can't move them to that mapped drive. nick

Hi Nick,Which version of Exchange do you use?Yes, you can move the mailbox databases & logs to mapped drive temporary until predicted issues are resolved on local disks but make sure that you have reliable and enough bandwidth connection between these two servers because if it is not reliable then it may corrupt the database and bandwidth is not enough then it may give you performance problem otherwise it is good to go...Exchange 2007:How to Move a Storage Group Pathhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125252.aspxHow to Set a Database File Locationhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201714.aspxExchange 2003:How to move Exchange databases and logs in Exchange Server 2003http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821915Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
