Yes, its by design Exchange server does not send NDRs, read receipts, delivery receipts, or out-of-office messages to members of distribution groups ---------Refer to KB 839949 Workaround: a. Create POP3 account for H b. In the ADUC, go to the Properties of A, Exchange Advanced tab, select Send delivery reports to message originator c. In the ADSI Editor, expand to As location, go to its Properties, Attribute Editor tab, set reportToOriginator attribute to TRUE d. Now Delivery report is able to send to H Notes: In this workaround, the From field of received mails on Bs mailbox will H on behalf of A To send receipt to DL isnt recommended, please see KB 271419 Resources: DSN messages disapears if send as distribution group address (Similar case)

From ADUC, you can see which OU contains the DL, right? Now launch the ADSI Editor, expand Domain->DC=DomainName,DC=Com->OU=OUName We can find the DL in the right-pane
