disable read receipts
Is it's possible to disable read receipts from being requested for internal e-mails? I am looking for a global setting on the server level not the pc level. I am using exchange 2007.

Apparently, there is no straight forward way to do it, other than with an agent:

Hi,Please create transport rules with the logic that if the hub transport finds the header in the message, it removes it. Note: The rule below might catch a majority of the messages, but if POP/IMAP clients are being used, it might not capture all of them (depending on the client behavior).1- Remove message header Disposition-Notification-To for mail sends from outside my organization. 2- Remove message header Return-Receipt-To for mail sends from outside my organization.ThanksAllen

Hi Allen,
How specifically do I set these rules up? I have the opton on the transport rule to "when message header contains specific words" and "when message header contains specific text". The rule is looking for info on "message header" and the specifics??
If you could give me a step by step to these rules would greatly appreciate it
