e-mail address exists or not?
Hi, whats the difference between an e-mail address that doesnt exist in an organization and an e-mail address that existed before but was deleted due to the person left the organization? I tried to contact a friend based on her name and ending part of
the corporate organizations domain. But I received the message below. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system ____ said: 550 5.1.1_____: Recipient address rejected:
User unknown in local recipient table (in reply to RCPT TO command)

Hi
You can use message tracking and type in the email address and make a search, it exists the user that have it will appear, if it doesn't exist you will be prompted with that.

Hi, Thanks for your reply first of all.
I have two questions.
How to use message tracking from outlook?
How can I differentiate whether he really worked there before but left in the middle of the period V.S he never worked in the organization before? Is there any difference in the responses i get from the system once I send the e-mails of which I am not sure
whether it existed in the organization's system but got deleted or he never worked in the organization?
Your reply is greatly appreciated:)

There's no practical difference.

When emailing an outside organization, there is no way of telling if this was a valid email in the past or not. The fact that you got an error saying "user unknown" is about as much info as you are going to get. Exchange only knows
about the now, and with this error, this user does not exist.Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

That's a nice quote. But what do you mean exactly by "bahaviroal problems"?

Thanks for your reply.
If network exchange only knows about the moments as of now, any other current technological tools that could help people to know the past?
Thanks.
