Our company went out of business and all server assets were sold off. We now need to recover a number of e-mails from backup tape. We have a successful backup of the entire exchange. We have 2- servers loaded with Server 2003 no domain loaded yet on either of them. Is it possible to just extract mailboxes and convert them to pst files without loading exchange and recovering the entire databases? If not what is the best way to procede to the goal of getting to the emails?
