easy file transfer to Vista problem
Hello,
I recently bought a new computer with Vista as an operating system. I performed the easy file transfer wizard from my old computer that was running XP and during the transfer process, the wizard placed files on the D drive where the Vista operating files are located. I realized the mistake I had made when an error message came up saying that there was not enough room on the D drive for anymore files. I reconfigured the wizard and the file transfer went with out any other problems, but now I keep getting a message that the D drive is nearly out of free space. How can I get to the D drive to remove the extra files that are supposedly there and not touch the Vista operating files? Or at least, free up enough space on the D drive so that I do not keep getting the message?

William, this is a forum for Microsoft Exchange Server. You may not get a lot of responses here. Try the Windows Vista forums such as the Migration forum. Here is the URL.

Did you work this issue out...I wanted to back up to the system recovery drive D using the back up and restore wizardbut there was not enough room despite the fact that I have a factory set PC with nothing downloaded onto it..Anyway I managed to back up my files to disc using norton because the windows back up and restore to diskdidnt work, but I still keep getting prompted on the fact that there isnt enough space on disk drive D. I would still really like to have a complete back up not just my files but apparently it is all tooooooo hard!
OMG! Why is everything soooooooo complicated?
