email delay
Dear all, I use exchange 2010 server and client is outlook 2007 (running outlook Anywhere). There is a domain A in Singapore . There is a domain B in HK There are two exchange server for each domain. But I found if some of users in domain A send email to user of domain B, some of uses in domain B always received email delay about 30 mins and difference users send the email to the same user in difference time. this user received those email at the same time but delay about 30 mins. I don't know why?john

Within the Exchange organization e-mail routing is based on the AD site. Which of the machines run the Hub Transport role? >But I found if some of users in domain A send email to user of domain B, some of uses in domain B always received email delay about 30 mins Check the SMTP headers on those delayed messages. On which machine is the message delayed? Is it always the same HT server? >and difference users send the email to the same user in difference time. this user received those email at the same time but delay about 30 mins. > >I don't know why? Well, first you have to discover the _where_, then you can move to the _why_. :-) You can start by running the Exchange Best Practices Analyzer and fixing the problems it discovers. Then, if the problem is still there, you can use the Mail Flow Troubleshooter. You may have a overused HT server, or you may have a connectivity problem. But before starting to guess about solutions you need to at least identify where the problem lies. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Check and resolve is there any dns issues will be on the server. check the mailflow troubleshooter so that we can get the information. Run exbpa and resolve the problems. check the any third party spam filters will give the problems.

Have the recipient send you the headers as mentioned by Rich, this will tell you at which leg the delay came from by checking the timestamp. It may not be an issue on your end which is why you need to determine at which server it was help up.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
