email that comes into one of our Public Folders
This is an example email that comes into one of our Public Folders. It’s the strangest thing, I can search this Public Folder by the Tracking # 1Z5779860348632828 and it highlight in yellow both the one it found in the subject line and the body of the email. But I Can’t search for other text in the body of the email. For instance if I search PO#1044918 or 1044918 or FRIEDERICH then the search results of this Public Folder came by empty. I’m using Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007 SP1 and just using the search pane of Outlook. I’m not using Outlook 2007 cached mode or trying to use any type of 3rd party indexing solution. I thought perhaps it was an indexing issue in this database storage, but after reading this article, http://www.exchangeninjas.com/ExchangeSearchFAQ it appears that Public Folders don’t index. Is there something I can do to fix this issue or is this a limitation of Exchange 2007? Hi Benny, Per my known, the search function is a feature of the outlook, in my opinion, it has no relation with exchange 2007 server. I have no the UPS deployed, and could not reproduce your issue. But I would suggest that you could check the email's body formate, if the key word in a picture, I think the search according to it would be failed. You also could post the issue on the outlook forum. Regards! Gavin
