environment: AD forest with three domains; and each domain has its own version of Exchange: 2000, 2003, and 2007.
I have an existing AD forest that has one DC that maps to Exchange 2003, another DC that maps to Exchange 2000, and now I've added a thirdDC thatmaps tomy Exchange 2007 users and e-mail addresses. This is a development/test environment, which is why I have it setup this way.I did one Exchange 2007 installation, and it had a few issues, but it came up running.I am now trying to add a second Exchange 2007 server to my Exchange 2007 domain, and it is giving me errors.1)Cannot find a recipient update service2)Could not find the Exchange Install Domain Servers global group...For (2), it is telling me it can't find it for my AD server that I have associated with my Exchange 2003 domain, and not the AD server I have for my Exchange 2007 server domain.I don't want to break my 2003 and 2000 Exchange Servers, which is why I am posting. To install Exchange 2007, do I really need to touch my AD servers that are for Exchange 2000 and 2003 servers that I will not be upgrading?

Hi, Please Run setup /PrepareDomain:<FQDN of domain you want to prepare> with [/DomainController:< domain controller >] to prepare a specific domain. /DomainController parameter is used to specify the domain controller to use to read from and write to ActiveDirectory during setup. You can use NetBIOS orfully qualified domain name (FQDN) format.
