Dear all I have a ex03 server running on w3k r2 sp2 and the database size limit for the mail server has been set to 74GB, when I combine the size of the priv.edb + priv.stm files the total size is 72.3GB and when I check the event viewer>application log for event 1221 I can see that the reported white space is only 76MB. Is the white space calculated from the database current size so 72.3GB - white space or the database max size so 75GB

Hi mika_MCSE, If you are running Exchange 2003 standard Edition, it's time to reduce the size of mailbox database. Let end users to delete large mails(or move to PST file), after that, eseutil /d to compact the database or let Exchange server reuse white space.
