Please go to application log, see if theres any related error event Please go to Cluster Administrator, if theres any offline resources, try to take them online Please check the DNS for clustered mailbox server [CMS], verify if theres a DNS entry for CMS. If theres no DNS host record for CMS, please create one and install again Please refer the posts from this thread to troubleshoot the issue

4 mscs suits. every mscs have 8 nodes.total nodes is 24.all res in cluster are online, these include only disk res.cms virtual host are created on dns and also in ad computer node. all nodes in the same cluster have same dns configration, but some node can install sucessful, other cannot. in setup.log i can find that the node can not find v-host name on the dc. but acutally i try nslookup the node name is successful. last night, my colleague installed again, more 10 nodes installed sucessful but other 10 are failed. it is strange.

i have a standard document about the workflow of the install process.when i install all mscs suit in mail site, they works fine, when i installed in the subsite, it is failed.the main difference is the dns setting. so i changed the node dns to the bridge dc for a better replication.as a research on dns server, i meaneverythinglooks fine. i do not get where is the problem. forsome reason, i can not set the node dns directlyto mailn site dc.

Quote: in setup.log i can find that the node can not find v-host name on the dc. but acutally i try nslookup the node name is successful Whats v-host? You can nslookup the nodes name, but can you nslookup v-host? You have checked the CMS A record in the site 2s DNS server for the name site2-MAIL-12, havent you? Is it an AD integrated DNS setting on the site 2? Could you synchronize the setting between two sites?

sorry,i am little hurry to make such mistakes.the V-host nameis thecms object.i have already create all cms object on the pdc. and i tried to move pdc to the sub-site.all DC with a dns. i can sychronize this settings. the default synchronize time is 1~59 mins.finally the issue is fixed. the main reason the AD replication. thanks for your suggestion.
