excel and word 2013 unable to change font color

Click on a cell. Can change font size, alignment, bold, etc. but can't change font color. Same is true in Word

I'm able to change font color in Webmail and other programs.

Any ideas?

TIA

Have you set a black-and-white printer as default printer?

Hi,

First, check to see whether the method of Han's is worked.

If it cannot solve the issue, then try to change the default printer to a different printer and check.

Sorry took so long to get back. I don't have any physical printer attached.

That might well be the cause of the problem. I'd set an arbitrary color printer as default printer in Windows; it doesn't matter that it's not actually present.

Found the solution. Has nothing to do with the printer. I was using a high-contrast theme. When I chnaged it back to a default theme, the Ecel fonst show in color.

You can try it to verify.

Strange  there doesn't seem to be anny mention of this.
