exchange2003 removal
I am have a test bed with win2008 R2 as a DC, and installed exchange 2003 on a member server. I then removed the exchange server, but I still see Microsoft Exchange system folder in the AD. Is there a way to completely remove exchange from the AD without screwing everything up? This server is actually "live", and I want to make sure nothing happens to it. Thx

That folder holds mail-enabled public folder objects. I suspect its empty yes? You can remove it if there are no Exchange Servers in the org. Also: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830185 The REMOVEORG option in Exchange Server 2003

If you moved Exch gracefully then and this folder is left behind then you can go into adsiedit and delete the folder. Assumption is that you are trying to remove Exch completly, ie. remove an Exch Org, then do step 1, no issue here. Sukh
