Had an exchange server go down, got the exchange .edb files only to find its corrupt, tried to use eseutil.exe to repair the file but when I try and open it with ontrack powercontrols saying its corrupt still.

How do I export database from corrupt exchange EDB files?
I wonder, how can I fix corrupt EDB files issue? I was trying to migrate & convert my EDB file to PST. I had my EDB files back-up but, it seems corrupt now. I need recovery of all Calendars, Contacts, Journals, Distribution List and Tasks from corrupt backup EDB file anyhow. Please suggest some valuable steps for quick procedure.

Please check the .edb file is in the clean shutdown state or not . 

1. eseutil /mh "path of the database file"   -  this will show you the database state is in clean shutdown or dirty shutdown.In case if it in dirty shutdown state it will show you the required logs .

2. eseutil /ml "path of the logs " -  will tell you the respective logs for that database are in sequential order or not . If it is in sequential order please do the soft recovery . 

3. Then do the soft recovery by using the below command and it will commit the uncommitted logs to the database.

eseutil /r 

4. In case if soft recovery doesn't help we need to do a repair process and that will bring the dirty database file to the clean shutdown state .

eseutil /p 

5. In case if the repair process is helpless please try to restore the edb file and it's respective logs from the last successful backup and try to mount the database .

What does the message say exactly "This file is corrupt" or something like that?

What eseutil command did you use and what was the result? There's a number of eseutil options that may or may not help at this point. Some carry the risk of data loss (possibly significant).

I'm not familiar with Ontrack (as far as Exchange goes) but there are products like Digiscope that are advertised as being able to recover from corrupt edb files:

Of course, the quickest solution might be to restore the edb file from backup... except it looks like yours contain the corrupt file. Do you have older backups? Of course, those would not have the most recent data but it looks like you might have to accept loss of something at this point, unfortunately.

If not, I would contact Lucid8. One of its reps, Troy Werelius posts on the TechNet forums from time to time. He seems like a helpful fellow. Maybe he'll see
