Greetings,I'm not much of an Exchange 2003 expert (it has been years since I've done anything other than transition to 2007 with 2003). However, I found someone who had some advice. Try this:Run the cleanup agent in Exchange System Manager. Expand the Store where the mailbox resides | right-click Mailboxes | click Run cleanup agent. This marks all orphaned mailboxes with a red cross icon superimposed. Now you can reconnect the orphaned mailbox to another user account that isn't (already) mailbox-enabled.Right-click the orphaned mailbox | click Reconnect.Type in the name of the user you want to reconnect it to, or click Find and look for the user.Check the bold above and using the same name may well cause issuesHope that helps.J. If the Exchange server is Exchange server 2003 with service pack 2, then please follow these steps:1. Open Exchange System Manager2. And drill down to the Mailbox store on which the user mailbox exsists3. Right click on the mailbox store -- properties -- LIMITS4. check the retension period "keep deleted mailbox for days" this should not be zero5. Come out of properties and then3. Expand mailbox store4. Right click on "Mailboxes" folder and select "run cleanup agent"5. Refresh the screen and then right click on the mailbox which need to be reconnected6. Select reconnect option and connect to the user account the Active DirectoryPlease let me know whether this worked or not ?Thanks,Dinesh.
