exchange 2003 message limit problem?
My company is using Exchange 2003 that each message limit is 10MB. In the computer use outlook direct connect exchange mailbox can send 9MB email (with attachment file). But notebook set smtp connect mailbox send message. The email size maximum 7MB, if 8MB message (no text & only attachment file) will be undeliverable return error: "This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again.". Please help why to different limit message on two case? How to setting for notebook can send over 8MB email? Thanks all

Hi Internet e-mail messages use the global setting for limits on sending and on receiving. The message categorizer evaluates the sender's sending limit and the recipient's receiving limit. You can read article of message limit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322679 Can you try to send 8M message by exchange? Maybe you can increase limit of globe setting. You also need to pay attention to smtp connection limit.

It's likely becuase of content conversion, you need to take into account bloating of the message. Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 (All attachments in Exchange 2000 Server are encoded by using base64 and bloat 33%.)
