exchange 2003 server
We have already exchange 2003 server under cluster environment. We don't have front end exchanger server seperately now requirement is to segregate back and fron end server from the existing environment.
main purpose to configure front end exchange server to configure RPC over HTTP proxy i.e. outlook anywhere
Now, my questions are
1. What's precaution need to be taken while installing/configuring front end server?
2. Do i need to change any setting in existing Exchang 2003 cluster mode server?
3. Do i need to make changes in our Active Directory services?
if anythig else need to be considered then please include those points also.
Thanks

This should get you started.
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/owa_exchange_server_2003.html
1. You should ideally publish OWA uisng something like ISA.
2. Nothing special needs to be done on the cluster servers.
3. No changes need to be made in AD, any changes will be made when you install exch 2003.
4. You should ideally look into deploying exch 2010 and plan that rather than exch 2oo3 front-end/back-endSukh

Move all mailboxes and other resource from the Front-end server to your Back-end server for security purpose. Front-end server is not recommended
to contain mailboxes.
It is best if you put a firewall such as ISA in front of your front-end server, open port 443 and allow limit other access across the firewall.

2. Do i need to change any setting in existing Exchange 2003 cluster mode server?
I don’t think it is a good idea, and I’d suggest you bring a new Exchange server to act as your front-end server.
If there is no other choose, then the method various depending on the type of your cluster. I assume it is windows cluster, and I’d suggest
you refer to the following articles:
Split existing cluster

Backing Up and Restoring the Failover Cluster Configuration with Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server

3. Do i need to make
changes in our Active Directory services?
No, I don’t think so. You just need to reboot your server and it may cause a period of downtime for your company.
Hope it is helpful.
