Is there a way to deny users from permanently deleting items in the deleted items folder until the mailbox is backed up? [messages are stored on exchange]

Hi, Users can delete messages from any folder before these messages has been backed up so the answer is no. If you need to keep all messages you can enable journaling. Leif

Leif - when a user deletes a message from the deleted items folder - doesn't it go to a dumpster - and if a backup is run, does this dumpster get backed up as well? thanks..
