I would suggest you to try transport rules in this situation - easy to manage and they are quick. Transport rules specially inbox rules are executed at Transport server and need not to hit mailbox server to execute in exchange 2010. this is an architectural change in exchange 2010. best Rgds, Ashish Sharma.

Just enable recipient filtering and reject any addresses that aren't in your directory. You'll find your server pretty swamped with undeliverable NDRs if you try to do what you said. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Ehlo Fizzmo, I suggest you read Rich Matheisen advice first, if you still need to proceed, so DSN messages are customizable in Exchange 2007, here's a decent article about that , which for your luck have examples for error 5.1.1 (Recipient not found) :) Results are cool, and customizable, and it may fits your request. Alternatively, you can dig into custom transport agents (not the default transport rules), you may find a way to create a custom transport rule for your request.Ibrahim Al Masry http://www.ibra.me/

Install the anti-spam agents on your machine. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555924) 2. Navigate (in the EMC) to "Organization Configuration | Hub Transport | Anti-Spam | Recipient Filtering | Blocked Recipients" and check the box labeled "Block messages sent to recipients not listed in the Global Address List". 3. Done. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
