a customer has a quota on the archive box and not on the mailbox.
when the archive is full is it possible that some mail's has been lost, if yes how can we recover the lost mails.

Disabled archive mailbox is retained in the mailbox database until the deleted mailbox retention period and deletion items settings for that database is reached.
It depends on your retention policy to archive mailboxes.
So based on your retention and mailbox db retention period you can recover the lost emails.

Based on my search, you can recover the lost mails from Recoverable Items folder .
And The default retention period is 14 days.
You can use the below command to change the archive quotas :
Set-Mailbox -Identity "Username" -ArchiveQuota 10GB -ArchiveWarningQuota 9.5GB

But is it possible when the archive quota has been reached that mail's has been lost, even when the user did not delete them?
