exchange 2013 shows cluster qurom group failed

i have exchange server 2013(2 Mb, 2Cas in one site) and in other site( 1Mb, 1 CAS).

Everything works fine, DAG replication good.

When i ran test-replication health i am getting this below error for Other site Mailbox server.

Quorum resource 'Cluster Group' is not online on server 'site2.mbx'. Database availability
group 'DAG13' might not be reachable or may have lost redundancy. Error:
        Cluster IP Address: Offline
        Cluster Name: Offline
is offline. Please verify that the Cluster service is running on the server.

Things i did for troubleshooting:-

1) Checked event logs, no issues.

2) restarted all the server - not fixed.

2) Check DAG computer account - Its enabled.

My witness server in site 1 CAS server and alternate witness server in site 2 CAS server.

One thing i noted iam not able to ping DAG virtual ip from both site mailbox server, it will be like that or any problem..

Kindly advice.

Did you verify that the cluster service is running on site2.mbx?

This error can be the result of a network event or connectivity problem.

Only the DAG IP of the network where the Cluster Group, i.e., the Primary Active Manager (PAM), is active will be pingable.

Cluster service is running on site2.mbx.

Able to ping the primary active manager ip from that server(Site2.mbx) but not able to ping DAG Virtual ip from any Mailbox server.

Hi wino,

Thank you for your question.

We could check if the IP address has been changed on site2.mbx, make sure the Exchange server site2.mbx has the original IP, then check if the issue persist. Did you configure IP static or dynamic?

Then check if FWS has been missing, then open up Failover Clustering Manager. Open up the critical resources and check to see if there is an IP Address for the cluster group that can be hosted by each server on its Mapi network subnet.

For example, if your Dag is split across two subnets, there should be two IP Addresses, one of each subnet. When the cluster group is on one subnet, one of the IP Addresses will be online and the other offline. On the other subnet the IP Addresses will swap which one is online and offline.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Hi

Thanks all your replies.

I disabled and re-enabled DAG nic cards, after that able to ping  the DAG Virtual ips.

No DAG issues.
