exchange 5.5 generate bad addresses
I am trying to replace a 5.5 server with 2003 and in the
migration will need to temporarily setup another 5.5 exchange
server. The campus people will not allow any more outbound
port 25 traffic.
So Im trying to use one of the campus servers as a smart relay
system. The setup is as follows:
Connections/Internet mail service/address space/
e-domain = *
cost = 1
restrictions = organization
routing address = campus.mail.edu
The mail gets bounced back from the smart relay system and
looks like this. I would think the address should look something
like user@comcast.net@campus.mail.edu
The original message was received at Fri, 20 Apr 2007 10:25:49 -0400 (EDT) from nospam.mail.edu [xxx.xxx.xxx.xx]

Thanks for any help
