Do any of you have a good thorough email/exchange policy to share? I have talked lots about advice on mailbox ACL's, delegate rights, mailbox retention, public folders, auto forwarding etc etc, I just wondered if you include these issues in your corporate policies and more? They are key issues if you ask me that should be incorporated in a corporate mail policy, obviously defined, documented and implemented.

Hi As far as I know, exchange policy is secret in the many companies. Setting so many policies is big project. So you should communicate with your IT provider. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. How do you mean secret, as in most places dont have an email/exchange policy? I cant see how even providing a template or some discussion on what is covered in peoples email policies divulges anything sensitive. I asked what peoples policies are on auto-forwarding, mailbox retention, mailbox ACL managment and verifacation, delegate rights management and verifacation etc etc. How is anyone on hear going to know who they work for. And what do you mean so many policies, I just asked about one, email. Surely somebody somewhere out there has an email policy!!

I'll ask again, would/do you include anything on: mailbox retention delegate rights mailbox ACL auto-forwarding in your email policies? Or can you provide an outline of what is in your documented corporate email policies?
