exchange server 2003
None of our computers can connect to exchange server with Outlook 2003. Outlook is always going to offline mode. Things worked fine until Monday afternoon. The computers are running XP Pro with sp3. They can connect to the server that exchange is on and
use mapped drives and printers, but not email. If i login to the server with a user's account, I can pull up outlook fine and send/receive email. Casched mode is not enabled.
thanks for your help

Hi
Does OWA work for the user?
Does it work on another client with the same user?
Is all users affected?

Hi,
First, I would like to confirm the following questions:
1. What do you mean about the following sentence?
“If i login to the server with a user's account, I can pull up outlook fine and send/receive email.”
Does it mean that the email can only be received or sent if the domain user login on the local Exchange server? Please clarify the symptom clearly.
2. Which kind of user account is logged when the Outlook is always in offline mode, roaming profile, domain profile or local profile?
At this stage, I suggest you refer to the following to configure the user login on Outlook via Cached Mode to check the result.

Can you send or receive email now?
Thanks.Novak Wu-MSFT

Your post is a little light on detail. Error messages? SP level on Outlook? Event logs? Tried connecting someone with cached mode enabled?
Note that running Exchange and Outlook together on the server is not supported.Lanwench [MVP - Exchange] ** Do not fold, spindle or mutilate. Fill in the box completely and erase any stray marks. Use only a #2 pencil.
