export-mailbox to PST file : Invalid SMTP Domain
Hi,
I'm trying to export a mailbox to a pst file using the following command:
"export-mailbox -Identity username@domain.com -PSTFolderPath c:\pstfiles\mail.pst"
I get this error:
WARNING: An unexpected error has occurred and debug information is beinggenerated: Invalid SMTP domain
Export-Mailbox : Invalid SMTP domainAt line:1 char:15
I have tried with alias and full username instead of the email address - same result.
"get-mailboxusername | export-mailbox -PSTFolderPath c:\pstfiles\mail.pst" gives the same error, except its in char 38 ("get-mailbox username" returns the correct mailbox)
I'm running the command from my 32Bit Vista workstation, and version og both management console and server isExchange 2007 SP1.

Only a guess but have you tried the internal name? joe@internal.local ?

Hi,
Have you got any information about how you should configure the 32Bits management on the client pc. I have an Standard 2003 Server 64Bit with Exchange 2007 with SP1 installed. My client pc in the domain is an xp. Have installed 32Bits Exchange Management Consoll.
When I am trying to export pst files from the client, I got this notice:
cmdlet export-mailbox at command pipeline position 1Supply values for the following parameters:TargetMailbox: innboksTargetFolder: d:Identity: username@domain.int
Could not find any Domain Controller in domain itsystemer.int.At line:1 char:1+ e <<<< xport-mailbox[PS] H:\>
I don`t know how I should configure the shell so it should work. Should there be any adjustments on the Exchange Management on the server?
Haven`t met your problem yet, but if I see something that works similar, I will page it here.
Regards
Frode

Hi,
Did you install the 32bit SP1 Management Console on the client PC?
I did not configure anything on the client. I just followed the few steps in the 'How to install on Vista Guide": http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354(EXCHG.80).aspx

Exchange Management Console 32bit are installed on a client who runs on 32bit XP Professional. Next step will be to try the exchange management console on a client who runs vista. Perhaps there will be contact with the domain then.
Have read that the console could run on either xp-pro or vista..
