external emails not reaching recipients (exchange 2007)
Hi
I am running a single exchange 2007 with, hub, client access and mailbox roles. When sending to an internal recipient from an external domain (i am using gmail for my testing) i get an
550 550 5.1.1 User unknown (state 14) error. I have checked the mail flow setting for the user and its ok. Ports 25 and 443 are being forwarded properly on the router. Default receiver is set
for anonymous access. Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced

1. Check and confirm your EAP are setup correctly and applied.
2. Have you made any changes to your MX records recently
3. Is this for other external domains such as hotmail?
4. I assume the email goes from your route/firewall to exch, if so, have you setup your receive connector to accept email from from your routerSukh

1. Check your MX config, what change did you make and when (date/time)? Have the changes you made been effective?
2. You may have to wait depending on point 1.
3. Also up the logging on your receive connector and send an email again and see what the logs are saying

Hi denismzs,
Any update on this issue?
Do you follow Sukh’s suggestions to check for your Exchange Server?
Maybe you also can use Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer to do an inbound email test
