failed to install exchange server 2007 mailbox role
I've successfully installed the hub transport and client access role of exchange 2007 on a windows server 2008 enterprise system using the command prompt. But while trying to install the mailbox role it fails and shows the message below:
Process execution failed with exit code 1.
the sequence of commands that i've executed successfully are:
I:\setup.com /prepareschema
>I:\setup.com /preparead /organizationname:homemail
I:\setup.com /preparedomain
But the output of the failed command is:
I:\setup.com /mode:install /role:mb,ht,ca

The command you have issued is trying to install the mailbox, hub transport and client access roles, all three, not just the mailbox role as you stated.
Please post the complete error message. What you posted is cut off.
If you are trying to add the mailbox role, then use this command:
setup.com /mode:install /role:mbEd Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Please also check the error event in the application log and the installation log
