Hi,

I had save a template T (customized in color, legend and some other attributes) for a Histogram Bar Graph.

I have two pivot, PivotA and PivotB. I saved the template T starting from customization of a graph of PivotA.

 

Pivot A and B have same datasource but different field in data value area.

 

I create a new histogram graph for PivotB. All ok.

Then I try to apply the template T to Pivot B. the graph show PivotA data

 

The question is: the template save also the data value field or only color/lable/ecce cc.customizations?

As far as I know, If you want to use a povite table template, we may refresh the data range first.

Please try to do following setps:

1. Create a povite table template, custom color/lable/ecce ect. and save as .XLTX file.

2. Create a Dynamic range for your data. For help on this see
http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html#Dynamic

3. Select the range which you want.

I don't want to create a Pivot  template, but I want to  create a Histogram Bar Chart Template (to avoid to re-format many graphs with aesthetic setting).

I know how I can save as template...but my problem is regarding if the template save also the data value field or only color/lable/ecce cc.customizations?

This because when I tried to apply the previously saved template... I apply the template  to anoter graph...and this graph  take also the VALUE (and not only the graphic appareance) of the graph on which I saved the template.

Hi,

Based on my test, if I need to create a chart, I must select the data rang first. Then I could use the  tamplate in tamplate folder. The data value did not appears. Could you tell me your steps?
