hosted exchange
Good day all, I am relatively new to SBS and exchange so I would like to ask some advice. We have various clients who would like us to host their e-mail for them. What would be the best solution using SBS and Exchange? What I need is a website or a document that lays out the requirements and the steps to take to set something like this up. ANY assistance would be most helpful as there are limited resources and assistance available in South Africa for this type of service. If someone could e-mail me with any assistance so much the better. Thanking you in anticipation, Mark de Wet

Hosting on SBS? No. That would just be crazy. It would be a nightmare to implement. It wouldn't be supported I'm certain.Regardless of what version of SBS you have I wouldn't go down that route. It would be better for the customers to use a proper hosting organization. They sell n users per month in bundles and the storage is pretty decent. They tie it in with SharePoint if desired.SBS just isn't geared to do this kind of thing and hosting isn't a game that just anyone can get into. You need special provisioning software for the clients if you want to allow them some control and at the very least you have to have some GAL separation, to name but one thing. SBS just wouldn't play ball.

I definitely agree with MarkArnold. we are talking here huge email hosting and SBS no where fits in to that. You need to reconsider your view about the same.
