hub transport roll
I am trying to see if one could run in a mulit nic envroment with exchange 2007/2010 discription: installed exchange 2007 i installed Hub Transport Role, Client Access Role, Mailbox Server Role, Unified Messaging Server Role andExchange manager. what i would like to do is run the anti-spam on the hub with Set-TransportServer Identity ServerName AntispamAgentsEnabled $true command and set a nic to a public IP and a nic to my ip inside to my AD. can this be done? and if not how could i setup with only one server box for AD and one server box for exchange.

Seems kindarisky to allow connections directly to an Exchange server. What's the intended purpose for doing this? The hub transport isn't going to be able to distinguish betweeninternal and outgoing email as it applies whatever filters you directit to. You may wind up with some surprising (and unintended) results,so be careful in the application of any restrictions you put in place.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP---

If you want to have two Receive Connectors you can do that. You don'tneed a separate IP address for them, though. Just add an IP addressrestiction on the one you want to receive email from the Internet. Usethe "Network" tab to create the restiction.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP---
