i got a strange problem in one of our user's outlook . When i open the mailbox properties it shows there are 2500 items ,but back in outlook 2010 all are empty except sent items (1200) items any clue ?

Where are you getting the mailbox properties? Are you sure that the folders don't have any restricted views hiding messages? What do you see if you run Folder Size in Outlook for all folders?Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Open the mailbox with Outlook. Select a folder. Click View. Also look at the Folder Size option in Outlook (how you get there depends on the version of Outlook). Also, one more thing to think about. Is Outlook running in cached mode, and if so, is it up to date? Try switching off cached mode and see if the items appear. That would indicate that cached mode isn't working right. i I forgot to tell u that even in OWA has the same issue (empty inbox).

Hi, There mailbox may be corrupted. The following may be an alternate: 1. Export the user's mailbox to PST (Export-Mailbox -Identity <MailboxIdParameter> -PSTFolderPath <Path_Of_PST_Folder>\<File_Name>.pst) 2. Delete and purg the mailbox in ESM 3.
