Interesting how I get 8 views and no one seems to know this problem as I couldn't find but 2 issues over the net on a google/yahoosearch (search the KB and you won't get anything also). Guess I'll have to swallow my pride and contact MS directly. Why not, pay them 250.00 and it's done as long as I don't get some dum *** first level, read off a peice of paper support idiot that never looked at a server inhis life. However, I always seem to manage after 30 minutes to get what I want. Maybe I'll post the answer when I get it, but it may cost ya. This site is not resourcfull at all. I've found better in open source. MS needs to get with it.
Any suggestions on a better MS forum not from MS, please suggest. This site sucks, or should I say to slow.

idontcare...First, let me say that this site does NOT suck, sometimes folks just don't recognize what your posting is something they can help with due to the subject. And let's face it, when it comes to Exchange 2007 there aren't as many "guru's" available as there are for other Exchange versions just yet!Second, I am NOT an Exchange 2007 guru! :-)On to the meat...I had some issues with inetorgpersonprevent.ldf myself. Here are the things that finally got me over it (this is strictly experience, not documentation, support, etc.):1. Make sure that the user your running the command as is a member of the "Enterprise Admins" and "Schema Admins" groups! Won't work if it isn't! (again, not a guru, just trial and error. If it will work, it wouldn't for me!)2. Make sure the Domain Controller your running the command on is allowed to make Schema Changes (see Q285172 or Q325379 I forget which one is relevant to this step, I am just referencing my notes).3. Make sure the syntax your using is correct. There are LOTS of examples on the net, this is the only one that worked for me:ldifde -i -f c:\path to inetorgpersonprevent.ldf -v -c DC=X "dc=yourdomain,dc=com"The case is relevant on the "DC=X" portion ONLY!The InetOrgPersonPrevent.ldf should contain the following. ALL OF IT (except for the --cut... stuff obviously)! ---cut on the line below here---dn: CN=ms-Exch-Assistant-Name,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=Xchangetype: Modifyreplace:LDAPDisplayNameLDAPDisplayName: msExchAssistantName-dn: CN=ms-Exch-LabeledURI,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=Xchangetype: Modifyreplace: LDAPDisplayNameLDAPDisplayName: msExchLabeledURI-dn: CN=ms-Exch-House-Identifier,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=Xchangetype: Modifyreplace: LDAPDisplayNameLDAPDisplayName: msExchHouseIdentifier-dn: changetype: Modifyadd: schemaUpdateNowschemaUpdateNow: 1----cut above here---The dash at the bottom is relevant! That should take care of it, if that doesn't fix it for you, I apologize, but I hope it does!Later, smooter
