is it possible to send a task from exchange to external users
running exchange 2007.when tasks from a user in exchange are sent to either another exchange domain or external outlook or pop account. the result is they just get the email but no attachment that they can open and then accept or reject. is this a default of exchange 2003/2007? or is configuration required. would a user using imap externally be able to see the task differently?

Hi Helpdesk101, With all default settings of Exchange/Outlook, if sending a task to an external user no matter the recipient's mailbox is on Exchange server or not, there is no accept/reject button, just an attachment enclosed. The issue is caused by the format of the mail. If the remote server is an Exchange Server, we could use the following workaround: Create a new remote domain, and set the mails send to this domain always use rich test format. Then restart Exchange transport service and test the issue. Thanks, Elvis
