issue with word 2010

Hi Team,

I am having issues with word 2010 version.

I have a document created in word 2007. And the symbol C is displayed properly with fonts Times New Roman and Areal in the document in word 2007. I can see those symbol displayed properly in word 2013 also. But when I open that document in word 2010, the symbol is displayed as squares for Times New Roman font and vertical lines for Areal font.

Can anyone please help us out in this issue?

Thanks,

Sooraj

It could be a corrupt font on the system.

If you have another PC with same OS, try replacing the Times New Roman font or the Arial.

After replacing the font, check whether the issue persist.

I have tried to paste the font in the system in which we are facing issues. But the issue is still there.

How are you inserting the symbol?  If not doing it by holding down the ALT key and typing 0176 on the numeric keypad, try doing that.

Hi Doug,

Actually clients have the word document in their system. They are not able to recreate the issue. The only input we have is when we open the document in word 2010 the symbol is displayed as square brackets for Times New Roman and vertical lines for Areal.

If we insert the C symbol from symbol tab in word 2007, is there a chance of getting the symbol displayed inproperly in 2010?

Kindly let us know your inputs.

Thanks,

Sooraj
