journaling vs litigation hold

hi all,

we have 200 shared Office mailboxes and will store (save) all Incoming and outgoing E-Mails to this mailboxes.

Now we use a third party tool from symantec, but on next change exchange server we will use exchange internal methodes.

What's the best Way. Journaling or litigation hold? 200 shared mailboxes a' 6GB are many data's over the year for litigation.

The best way depends on your requirements.  If the requirement is to save everything, litigation hold is probably the best.  Journaling puts a copy of everything in a separate mailbox, which essentially doubles your disk space utilization for data until it's deleted, and you end up with a giant mailbox or several that aren't easy to use.
