mail routing to specific domain through SMTP connector for only two user
hi everyone,i have exchange 2003 and i am facing some problem regarding increasing the mailq size for specific domain, due to this other user suffering to send mail to that domaini am thinking one solution please help me out in this1. i will create another SMTP virtual Server and add this SMTP VS to that domain SMTP Connector.2. can i add only those two or three user to use this second SMTP VS for route mail to that domain.3. but remaining users will use First SMTP VS for that domain. please help me what all needs to be changed in SMTP connector and SMTP VS we need to shift some load to our Second SMTP VS , may be this will help in out in decreasing mailq and blacklistingplease let me know can we do this.regardsjeevan

This is not possible via Exchange. You canrestrict SMTP Connectors to send mail to a particular domain, but to restrict it to specific users won't work. If you were to setup a connector for each user and disallow the rest of the users from sending, then most of the mail would fail as it would try the first connector, get rejected and give up.Raj

Domain wise , it will work. But how you are going to assign those two users on that connector.Raj

Hi Jeevan, You can create two SMTP connectors to allow only two users to use one connector for mail to specific domain and other users use another connector to external message.
