Hi everyone, I am using Exchange 2013I have disabled few user accounts in active directory and also i need to disable their mailboxes in exchange.So if i disable the mailboxes in exchange ,is there any time interval in exchange which will delete the disabled mailbox. I want my users mailboxes to be disabled but not deleted.

Hi ,

By default it will be 30 days .

In case if you want to extend the retention period for the disconnected mailboxes the we need set it on the mailbox database.

disable-mailbox test@mydomain.com is this command enough
