mailbox manager and calendar items
can someone confirm for me that calendar items created for the future that exceed the mailbox manager setting of XX days will not get deleted? documentation for mailbox manager indicates it uses PR_START_DATE and PR_END_Date, so I'm assuming it will not. An example, if I set calendar items for 365 days, and create an appointment in the future 2 years in advance, it will not get deleted after 365 days? I do see that reoccurring appointments in the future will not get deleted with mailbox manager.thanks.

Hi,
When processing Calendar items, the age is calculated using the EndDate property read from the folder view if the view was built from the Calendar Folder. If the item is a calendar item and the folder is not a calendar folder, the EndDate property is found by reading the item directly.
The same rule applies to a recurring calendar item. The age must be determined by finding the last occurrence, and getting its effective end date. This is not available in the folder view, so it must be read from the item. If there is no end date to the recurrence range, the item will not expire. So for your scenario, the appointment will be deleted after 2year+365day.Since then endate is two years later.Regards,Xiu
