I am trying to change an option on the mailbox store (server_name) properties general tab but everything is grayed out. I gave an account full access to the mailbox store and logged in as that userand its still grayed out. I removed my old exchange 5.5 machine and applied all the OS and Exchange 2003 patches and changed my mode to native and the options are still grayed out. Do I need to be in a special mode to make changes to this tab? I even tried dismounting the store and that didn't make any diffrence. What exactly am I missing here to make the change to turn on journaling? Thanks Victor

Hi, Do you have an exchange mailbox store policy that includes this database? If not it would help if you posted the version of exchange server you are using. Leif

I am running Exchange 2003 sp2. The only policy that I have within Exchange 2003 is the limits policy on mailbox size. I have no specific local policies or Global policy that I am aware of that concern Exchange 2003. Do I need to create a exchange 2003 system policy to turn on Journaling? Or should I delete the limits policy setup journaling and thenrecreate the limits policy? Thanks Ok I understand now, I changed the system policy to have journaling turned on and its now working.
