mailboxes remain from failed EXC 2013 install.

I have run into issues installing and migrating to 2013 from SBS2008. Initially we installed a new DC named RESSVR1 and then installed exchange 2013 on it, not knowing that putting it on the DC would be a problem. We ended up having to redo the new box and it is now named RESSVR (without the 1). I had to use ADSI edit to remove the refernces to the old DC.  Now I installed Exchange 2013 on a new Windows 2012 box and the setup said it was successful, but I am unable to migrate users. I have searched for answer and nothing really quite fits the isssues. I ran the cmdlet "Get-Mailbox - Arbitration | - Format-Table Name, ServerName, Database - Auto" and I still server the server name of the old (gone permanently) server of RESSVR1.  I guess my account is not verified so I can't post a picture.  Can I remove those mailboxes? and rerun the installation? I am not sure what is the best approach to take here and I am looking for your advice?

Hi,

From your description, I recommend you use the following cmdlet to move these arbitration mailboxes and check the result.

Get-Mailbox -Arbitration | New-Moverequest -Targetdatabase "Database Name"

Hope this can be helpful to you.

Best regards,
