man documentation doesn't scale well in Exchange 2007
The man style documentation in Monad/PowerShell seems to me to scale very poorly in the Exchange 2007 context.Take a look, for example, at set-mailbox. The help is hideous to read if you usehelp set-mailboxand even if you attempt to read the Exchange 2007 help file (available online at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/E2k7Help/a0d413b9-d949-4df6-ba96-ac0906dedae2.mspx?mfr=true ) it's very difficult to read.I have been using PowerShell for many months so am already familiar with the style of documentation that it uses. Heaven help new users to Monad/PowerShell in Exchange 2007 when they try to tease their way through the documentation for some of the complex Exchange cmdlets.I really feel that something must be done to improve readability of the more complex Exchange 2007 cmdlets or there will be more resistance than need be the case to adoption of Exchange Mangement Shell.I haven't bugged this yet but may do so pending responses from the team. I think it will be a significant practical problem for many new users of Exchange Management Shell.Andrew Watt

Agreed. I'm a pretty tech-savvy developer, but as a recent new hire in Exchange (4 months now)I still find the help files in PowerShell awkward. That said, I love how comprehensivethe auto-completion feature is.

Dangit, we need better search in the forums, thiswas a past topic... :) http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=597777&SiteID=17 Does that address some of your concerns?

Hi Vivek,Thanks for the pointer to the other thread. Oh for nice old-fashioned newsgroups! They are much easier to follow threads on and see what I have and haven't read. :) The way that old and new threads interchange places in the forums is a bit of pain - at least that's my view.Yes, the projected improvements in Help file layout certainly go some way to alleviate my concerns. I will reserve judgement until I see the improved version. :)Will these changes that you and Jeffrey mentioned in the other thread be in the build where Exchange 2007 makes the Monad -> PowerShell transition? Or will they come later? Thanks
