There's no way to natively do this in Exchange 2007. The closest you can get is by using some type of SMTP Appliance that may have a similar option or by using Outlook and when creating an e-mail, in the message options, specify a checkbox under "Do not Deliver Before:" and then specify the date/time you'd like the e-mail to go out.MVP | MCSE:M | MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administrator | MCTS: OCS + Voice Specialization | http://www.shudnow.net

Yep, and in addition to Elan's reply, what is the goal? Why the need to do this?

Thanks for your reply guys my clients are using different kind of email client as, Outlook Tunderbird, Mac mail, using the outlook message option don't cover it all google it i found many ideas like: people are scheduled firewall rules for it :) the goal is that many times people are sending emails to wrong parson providing sensitive company information, etc. and we would like to stop/delete those massages before they are leaving our server queue idly will be a way to delay the message delivery on the server, in case we want to delete the wrong massage ** --Thanks

In that case, I would look at content filtering software for email instead. (http://www.windowsecurity.com/software/Email-Content-Security/)Time delays wont really accomplish what you are trying to do.

Just been using it (in production) for about six months myself, but can't you configure rules that would scan messages for certain words and then prevent that type of message from being sent to certain people, i.e. people outside the organization?Or is this one of those solutions that works especially well... on paper.

Sure, you could construct transport rules to do some of that. ( Moderation is something the rules arent so good at, nor "releasing" messages that met some defined criteria, but are then ok to send, for example). Transport rules, out of the box, in my opinion, work great when you want to do some blocking, or routing , based an a clear, definable criteria and I tend to think of that as basic functionality, but, good point! (Im also not so confident that in a large org, with potentially thousands of messages per day, that a public folder or resource mailbox is the best way to analyze and quarantine messages.)
