max incoming message size
Hi all,
I have an issue here with recieving mails.
We do not have any restrictions on user level. But our exchange is set to 10mb. Although we cannot recieve any mail above 7mb.
Or is there another location i can check for size restrictions.
Would anyone have any ideas why this might be? Is 3mb reserved for header??
Any help greatly apreciated.
Thank you
Stephen

Check the size limit settings on your Receive connectors.[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

If there's message conversion/encoding then this normally has a 30% overhead added which seems to be the case in your scenario.Sukh

Hi,
By the way, what is the version of your Exchange server?
I’ll take Exchange 2007 as an example. First you can get some information about Send\Receive limit using the following cmdlets
in EMS:
Get-TransportConfig (check value of MaxReceiveSize)
Get-ReceiveConnector "Connector name" |fl (check MaxMessageSize)
Get-Mailbox |fl (check MaxReceiveSize)
Besides, you can try to set the message size limit values in AD using ADSIEdit, and then receive the message above 7MB again to check the result. For the detail
steps, you can refer to the link Henrik said:

Hope it helps.
